Privacy Policy
Coast Retirement is built to be useful without collecting more information than we need. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have. Effective date: August 3, 2026.
- We use Google Analytics (after you accept cookies) to understand traffic and improve the product.
- If you create an account, we store your account info and any saved plans you choose to keep.
- If you use the contact form, we receive your message so we can reply.
- We do not sell your personal information.
Information We Collect
Information you provide. For example: email address (account creation), contact form fields (name, email, optional subject, message), and any inputs you save into a plan.
Information collected automatically. Standard web logs (IP address, device/browser type, pages visited, and approximate timestamps) used for security. If you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics also collects page views and related usage metrics.
How We Use Information
- Provide and operate the site and calculators.
- Save your plan if you choose to create an account.
- Respond to messages you send through the contact form.
- Secure the service (fraud prevention, abuse detection, debugging).
- Improve performance and usability (aggregated analytics, when consented).
- We may offer an optional mailing list in the future. We will ask for consent separately before adding anyone to a list.
Cookies and Similar Technologies
We show a cookie consent popup (free CookieConsent library). Analytics cookies are set only if you choose Accept.
- Essential / functional. Session and authentication cookies needed to sign in and keep the site working (for example Supabase auth when you use an account). Preference for cookie consent is stored in your browser (local storage).
- Analytics (optional). Google Analytics 4 (G-7RDLNFTZV6) uses cookies and similar identifiers to measure visits, pages viewed, and approximate location/device information. These load only after you accept.
- Bing. We use Bing Webmaster Tools verification (for example a site ownership meta tag or verification file) so Microsoft can confirm we control this site for search indexing. That verification is not Bing advertising (UET) tracking. If we add Bing ads pixels later, we will update this policy and the consent banner.
You can decline analytics on the banner, clear site data in your browser, or block cookies in browser settings. Declining analytics does not block core calculators.
Third-Party Services
We use third-party vendors to provide infrastructure (hosting), authentication (Supabase), email delivery for contact messages (for example Resend), search verification (Bing Webmaster Tools), and analytics (Google Analytics, when you consent). These providers process data to deliver those services. See Google’s and Microsoft’s own privacy documentation for how they handle analytics or webmaster data.
Data Retention
We keep information only as long as needed to provide the service and meet legal/security obligations. Contact messages are retained as needed to respond and for basic records. If you delete your account (when available), we will delete or de-identify associated personal information within a reasonable period, subject to lawful exceptions.
Your Choices
- You can use many pages without signing in.
- You can accept or decline analytics cookies via the site banner.
- You can limit or delete cookies through your browser settings.
