Privacy Policy

Coast Retirement is built to be useful without collecting more information than we need. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have. Effective date: August 3, 2026.

Summary (plain English)

Information We Collect

Information you provide. For example: email address (account creation), contact form fields (name, email, optional subject, message), and any inputs you save into a plan.

Information collected automatically. Standard web logs (IP address, device/browser type, pages visited, and approximate timestamps) used for security. If you accept analytics cookies, Google Analytics also collects page views and related usage metrics.

How We Use Information

Cookies and Similar Technologies

We show a cookie consent popup (free CookieConsent library). Analytics cookies are set only if you choose Accept.

You can decline analytics on the banner, clear site data in your browser, or block cookies in browser settings. Declining analytics does not block core calculators.

Third-Party Services

We use third-party vendors to provide infrastructure (hosting), authentication (Supabase), email delivery for contact messages (for example Resend), search verification (Bing Webmaster Tools), and analytics (Google Analytics, when you consent). These providers process data to deliver those services. See Google’s and Microsoft’s own privacy documentation for how they handle analytics or webmaster data.

Data Retention

We keep information only as long as needed to provide the service and meet legal/security obligations. Contact messages are retained as needed to respond and for basic records. If you delete your account (when available), we will delete or de-identify associated personal information within a reasonable period, subject to lawful exceptions.
